PONO's Crazy Nails LESSON

This online salon is composed of 10 videos, published weekly over 3 months (from September 24th to December 23rd). I will be in contact with students during that time, and after the end of the course the videos will remain online for another month (until January 31st). 

In addition to the 10 videos, I will be enriching the extra content (including FAQs) that was popular last time. The format of each week’s salon will be as follows: 

1） I will upload a video demonstrating a technique onto the salon blog (only viewable by students). The salon blog will be on a Japanese blogging platform called DMM. Unfortunately the interface is limited to Japanese, however you can watch the video on this page that walks you through how to get started. It’s possible to view the DMM blog directly in a web browser from a PC or Macbook, and from a smartphone (iOS / Android). There is also a dedicated application.

2）Students are recommended to attempt to replicate the technique on their own, and post a photo of their results on the blog. Students are welcome to message me to ask about any parts they are having difficulties with. 

3） I will update the blog to provide feedback on each student’s work. If students would like to ask additional questions, I will also have the option to schedule a Instagram livestream. This will be done using a dedicated Instagram account for the salon. The DMM registration page is only in Japanese, however you’re also welcome to contact me via Instagram DM (@joyeuxponopono) if you’d like to join or if you have any other inquiries. Everyone is welcome. 

In the 10 tutorials, I will introduce: 

• 3D Nail Art (frog, ramen, flower) 

• 3D Resin Parts (Portuguese style) 

• Tile Pattern Nail Art 

• Magnetic Nail Art 

• Bubble Nail Art 

• Other topics 

The first month (Tile Art) 

・Week 1: Basic Tiles - I will teach how to draw straight lines. 

・Week 2: Portuguese Tile Parts - By using resin, you can make tile parts. If you want to draw tile art in detail, you have to know how to choose the material and you have to have technique. So I will teach what gel and brush to use. 

・Week 3: Abu Dhabi Nails - Let’s study metallic line art with a Middle Eastern Arabesque pattern, with transparent portions like the ceiling at the Abu Dhabi Louvre. 

・Week 4: Lemon Tile Nails - The lesson is on how to draw realistically, like Italian lemon tiles. 

 <1 week break, for students to have time to put the techniques into practice and create their own art>

 The second month (Mysterious Art) 

・Week 5: Diamond Cut Magnetic Nails - I will explain how to create magnetic nail art that looks like a cut diamond. 

・Week 6: Moving Bubble, Blue-Backed Fish - I was the first nailist to exhibit bubble nail art online. It can be made in 15 seconds. So this time the bubble will move. I will explain the mystery of how it works. 

・Week 7: Moving Magnetic Op Art: These magnetic nails will move even if already cured. I will teach you this secret. 

 ＜1 week break＞

 The third month (Let’s Become a 3D pro!) 

・Week 8: 3D Flower Nails - There are many sorts of flowers. In the main contents I will show one kind, and in the extra content I will show another. 

・Week 9: 3D Frog Nails - Let’s make a frog that looks so real it’s as if it’s alive. 

・Week 10: 3D Ramen Nails - Special art (cyber ramen) that went viral on social media.

Art can be enjoyed not only by making it, but also by looking at it. Even if you don't actually make it yourself, you can look at the production process and think, “Ah, this is how they make it”. Please take advantage of what you have learned here and spread your wings! 

The entry fee is 30,000 yen = 207 USD (as of 28th Aug 2024, 1 JPY = 0.0069 USD / 1 USD = 144.36 JPY)

Membership conditions/notes: 

・For all the tutorials on the salon page, it is prohibited to share it outside the salon (including but not limited to social media and private messages / emails etc.). But you are very welcome to post the work you learned at the salon! 

・Acts that slander, threaten, or harass other users are prohibited. 

・Violations may lead to termination of membership without refund.
